Court-Ordered Anger Management Program

Separation and divorce are difficult, but managing the conflict between co-parents is often the greatest challenge. At Ontario Family Solutions, we offer the New Ways for Families® program, a structured and practical skills-based counseling service. This program is designed to help parents navigate co-parenting in a way that reduces conflict and protects the wellbeing of their children. It is a “no blame, no shame” approach focused on building practical
skills for a healthier future.
The New Ways for Families® method focuses on empowering parents with 4 Big Skills: Managed Emotions, Flexible Thinking, Moderate Behaviors, and Checking Yourself. Unlike traditional therapy, this program is typically delivered to each parent separately, allowing you to learn and practice these crucial co-parenting skills in a supportive, individual setting. The goal is to help you manage disputes effectively, communicate calmly, and make child-centred decisions as you reorganize your family.

Co-Parenting Program – New Ways For Families Counseling (NWFF) – NWFF sessions will be charged as a fee of $1000 for each parent to participate in their six individual sessions. We are able to offer the option of parent-child sessions which consists of an additional 3 sessions at $250 per hour (+ HST).
A parent can expect that the NWFF sessions typically takes a minimum of 6 weeks; but this is dependent on the pace of the sessions (ie. weekly, bi-weekly, if there are children’s sessions, parents’ availability).
In order to commence the counseling process, an up-front retainer fee of $2,500 is required, subject to the number and type of sessions agreed upon. Parents usually pay through Interac e-transfer but they may also choose to pay by Bank draft, Certified cheque, major Credit cards or can use our 0% interest payment plan option (as indicated in our website).
Parents may agree to equally split the cost of the NWFF or they may mutually agree to share the cost in another manner (e.g., proportional to income, one parent paying for all of it). The percentage each parent will pay for the cost of the NWFF will be noted in the Retainer agreement.
